Family and Partner Supportive Consultations
Support for Family and Partners
Supporting someone you love with an eating disorder can be emotionally demanding and deeply worrying. You may feel unsure how to help, afraid of saying the wrong thing, or overwhelmed by the impact it’s having on your family or relationship.
Family and partner supportive consultations provide a compassionate, confidential space just for you. These sessions are designed to help you better understand eating disorders, feel more confident in how you respond, and find ways to support your loved one without losing sight of your own wellbeing.
In these consultations, we can explore:
- How eating disorders affect thoughts, emotions, and behaviour
- Supportive communication and boundaries
- How to manage difficult emotions such as fear, guilt, or frustration
- Practical ways to reduce unhelpful patterns and increase understanding at home
Caring for yourself while supporting someone else.
Your loved one does not need to be in therapy for you to attend. Sessions are tailored to your situation and can be helpful at any stage.
Seeking support can feel like a big step, especially when you’re already trying to be strong for someone else. You don’t need to have everything worked out, and you don’t need to be in crisis to get support. These consultations are simply a place to pause, reflect, and feel supported as you navigate something that is genuinely hard.
If you’re considering getting in touch but feeling unsure, that’s okay. You’re very welcome to make contact with questions or to explore whether this support feels right for you.
You deserve support too.
Please feel free to get in touch to find out more or to arrange a consultation.
